In the limited over series, Raina said he expected Manoj Tiwary, Shikhar Dhawan and Subramaniam Badrinath to give a good account of themselves before seniors return for subsequent three tests.

During the 2009 IPL, Sehwag picked up the injury, a slap lesion or labrum (shoulder blade) tear and did not play a single game during the World Twenty20 in England. On account of the injury, he also missed the one-day series in South Africa in January this year. In time for the World Cup 2011, he was pronounced fit, although he did not bowl during India’s prizewinning campaign.
