On Tuesday, Longtime England batsman Kevin Pietersen was released from the cricket team and he has now joined Surrey for the rest of the county season. He is a favorite in the online betting odds.
Pietersen will be omitted from the upcoming Twenty20 international friendlies against Pakistan stating that Pietersen needs to get more cricket under his belt before the winter season, stated Geoff Miller, the national selector of the England and Wales Cricket Board.

Pietersen made his debut with England back in 2004. He said he was disappointed for being cut from the England side but would do everything that he could to get back to the squad. Pietersen stated, ‘I have no issue with the selectors omitting me from the team. Now I can work on my game and get ready for the winter’.
With an exhibition cricket match, England and Pakistan are hoping to raise funds for the victims of devastating flooding in Pakistan.
In south and northwest Pakistan, an estimated 14 million people have been left homeless and 1.600 killed by floods.

He added, “The experience that the English players had was that when you’re building momentum it actually put a handbrake on. It will be interesting to see how it pans out. Maybe the Australians will do it tactically a little bit different, but it will certainly make it interesting.”
The players remain unconvinced about the changes, although the Australian board is adamant that moving to a split-innings 45-over format was prompted by feedback from the public. Against the idea were 78% of surveyed members, said the Australian Cricketers’ Association, and there have been mixed responses in the Twitter-sphere.
Nathan Bracken, one of Australia’s most successful one-day bowlers in recent history tweeted: “Not a massive fan of it. Could make some games very boring if a team gets a bad start.”
